D aquí is a digital magazine about Cuban design and visual arts. With a four-monthly frequency and content in Spanish and English, we seek to promote the work of Cubans designers, architects and artists residing anywhere in the world.
The idea came while conducting the Second Collective Exhibition of Geo-Gráficas project in January 2015. At that time, we perceive the need for a publication that could spread the interesting work being done by Cuban designers and yet could become a space for meeting and socializing. Also we felt we should strengthen the links between the arts and design, since in our context there is no consensus on this subject; then we decided to start a project to understand the design in its multiple connections to be part of the visual arts. Finally, we were motivated much the possibility of enhancing the voice of creators in every article letting their own words invite us to approach each proposal.
We defend free access to information and knowledge, and we recognize the importance of copyright. Before reference any content of the magazine, please, contact us.
